Time Travel Video game

Here is a cool idea for time travel video game:

Story

A famous art peice was stolen by time travellers and you work for the temporal police. Your time sensors don't work that well, so you can only pinpoint the crime to a day or so and you don't know exactly where the crooks are hiding. So your character is sent though time and they must catch the bad guys by finding clues in the past. You use a time travel sute to go though time.

I would love it if the game took place in old Venice.

Gameplay

It would be a classic first person point and click Myst like adventure game. You would have an artificial being as a companion who would say comments and clues to help you.

Your time travel sut would make an avatar of a class of person from the past. It starts out very low class and as the need rises for a higher class of person, new avatars are unlocked. Avatars could be customized. You can also change them depending on the sitawastoin.

The Cycle

The game-play would revolve around a "cycle". Each "cycle" starts a day and half from when the theft occurs. Things happen at cutrun times of the day, for example a city official you need to talk takes a walk every day at around 5:00 AM.

To reduce complexity for the programmers and the players cycles would only be a day and a half. Then your artificial companion send you back to the start of the cycle.(he would explain what's happening the first couple of times). Time moves forward in real time but there is a "time wheel"(explained in the next section) you can use to travel forwards and backwards in time.

The reason cycles move in real time(but only when the game runs) is to give plenty of time for people to figure out what do without time pressure. For the cycle to expire natural you would have to keep your computer running with the game on for a day and a half.

Time Wheel

The Time Wheel advances slowly as time advances.(which as I said is real time) As you get closer to the end of the cycle the wheel turns from green to yellow, orginge to red. But your a time traveler, so you can move the wheel to rewind or fast foword time but only within the bounds of the cyles.

So if you arrive at a bar and say "I want to speak to Jacob" and the bartender says "He was here an hour ago but has gone home now", you can solve that mini-puzzle but rewinding time an hour.

You turn inviable when you move the wheel and if your around people they will react like you appeared or disappeared in front of them.

Another example is a vishush dog blocking your path and time moving backwards or forwards till when the dog is not there.

If real time is too slow you might also be able to speed up the speed of time with a 2nd dial. This would make everything faster including people talking like chipmunks if too fast.

Death

You can not die in the game but you can brush with death and your artificial companion will rewind time for you right before you die and scold you.

Classes

As I said you will gain avatars of different social classes throught the adventure. You can switch between them at different points. Like with the time wheel this will cause people to react.

Your class avatar would be visible in the hud.

Stir

"Stir" like the phrase "that is causing quite a stir" is the messure of how much coes you create. Changing class or moving though time(remember this makes you invisible) in from of people raises your "Stir". Sovling puzzles in as inconspicuousness a manner as possible(most out of site, lest sound and lowest class) will reduce the amount of "Stir" you gain.

So people don't fert about "Stir" your boss would say "complete the mission at all costs" or something like that and you would never loose if "Stir" gets too high.

At the end of the game your "Stir" is your high score and the lower the better. This gives an instenvie to reply the game.

There would be a few hidden areas where people never go where you can time travel or change class without people noticing.

Inventory

Would work like a lot of point and click adventure games. You can get items from the future and use them in the past but this can cause more "Stir" if you for example drink a bear in the bar before the bartender has had time to brew any.

Also you keep all inventory even if the cycle restarts or you go back in time. That way you don't have to remember where things are when going though time. This is explained in the story with "techno babble".

Conversations

Would be a dialog tree.

Linux release

I don't know what platform the game would be on, other then Windows. There would also be a native Linux release as I like that platform.

Staff name colours

You will notice that when I say a staff member name I use a different colour text deepening on who it is. This is the colour they often wear.

Want to copy your library barcode to the clipboard

Forms on your library's website often make you enter your bar code to suggest a purchase, login to a new database, etc.  Here is a batch script you can use to copy it to the clipboard for you:

@echo off

echo|set /p="putyourbardcordnumberhere"|clip

To make a batch script open notepad and save the above in it. Save it as "Something.bat" and change the save as type to all.

Now run it and your library bar code is copied to the clipboard. You won't see this, your just see a window popup and go away but this is normal. No more reaching for your wallet, every time you want too fill this in!

This show was underrated and even I underrated this season when I was 12. It's not outstanding but it is really good particularly the 3 part(movie length) Valking episode.

This is a very fun and crazy book. It's funny because of how insane it gets. :) A different public domain characters is introduced ever few pages! Sherlock Homes and the guy with the D on his cape(it's a spoiler) are my favourite! The art style is really great, it looks like an old comic. My only complaint is that Godzilla does not die at the end(sorry people in the story but that means room for another book). It's Dippers journal from the show! It does contain spoilers, so watch the show first. Like the show it's not appropriate for younger kids. Very fun to see a fictional object turned into a real one like this. It also gives a lot of fun back story, I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent version of the Christmas Carol'. It is funny and has deeper moments that I think come from the original story (I have never read it). I like it enough that I have my own copy, which I got as a Christmas gift.

This is a very wholesome and fun series. It's a reminder that not everything is as bad as it seems.  I recommend for anyone who loves cats.

These games are ports of the old NES games but they are very hard.
Review of Marble It Up
Remember the old Marble Blast from 2003, man that was a good game! Well this is basically the spiritual sequel to that excellent game! Roll a marble through obstacles and use the power ups to get a boost, all while listing to music that sounds like it was recorded in 2003(in the best possible way!). I highly recommend it. Hay and if you love the game and want more the PC version supports fan made levels. The Switch might be under-powered but it runs this game just fine.

Excellent rifts of very cheesy movies, very funny. The sketches are great would recommend. One problem is the DVDs have no chapters.
More great move gifts, very great :).

A very good kids book.

This is an excellent book for all ages. Good luck :).

Review of Rear Window
A very great film, I would recommend it. I love how so much of the film is first person! Just be aware there is some content that's hard to take for younger adunces but all of it is off screen. (implied violence)

Sonic Colours for Wii was one of the greatest Sonic games and in my opinion is better than Sonic Mania. Sonic has a great sense of speed, there is some excellent platforming, and it feels like a real party. Some fans don't like the humor, but I think it's hilarious. Is the extra content in this remake worth it? I am not sure, but why does that matter, this is an excellent game and you should borrow it. No it's not excellent, it's "GOOD, GREAT, AWESOME, OUTSTANDING and AMAZING"(You'll understand that when you play it ;) The only downside to the switch version is the lower frame rate. For quotes and videos see the Calidon Site

This is an excellent movie and I highly highly recommend it. It shows the origin of the fedastion and is a story to stop the worst enemy the Borg. The Borg go against everything they stand for! It also involves Time Travel which I personally love. Note it is PG-13 for a reason, there is a lot of violence and parts people under 13 might find hard to take. I also recommend you watch some(or preferably all of) TNG(Star Trek The Next Generation) first so you know who everyone is.

This movie is not that great. If you want a story the involves the same plot but better see TNG Season 7 "Homeward".

This movie is not worth your time.

A very fun read that can be read quickly

This is a very fun Star Trek movie but not my favourite.

This is a great season of Voyager.

A very fun movie! I recommend it! It's PG-13 for a good reason though(drugs, pit fighting, flame trhoughers, tourcher). Not a deep story but lots of really cool over the top action sequences! For a PG-13 movie some of the parts of Grogu are a bit young for me, it's kind of odd that they put them in a film for a teenage audience.

The Adventure Zone: Story and Song
This is a really great ending to the series I recommend it. I recommend the whole series start to finish.

Background: Trapped on the "Satalight Of Love" Jonna must watch cheesy movies as the evil Kinga Forrester monitors his mind.

This movie is particularly bad, the best part IS the bad guys hat who Jonah and his robot friends call "crabby". Its a very fun episode and I recommend and the sequl.
