Hello, wouldn't it be cool if you could order a movie and a meal from the same company and they would be delivered to you like a pizza order. The movie would be a rental and the meal would be yours to enjoy(offcouse). Most importantly they would be related somehow, that is a western and hamburgers, a wonderful life and a turkey feast or The Wrath of Khan and some
Gagh! (or something simular in appearance). This blog entry will expand my idea with a "FAQ".
Q: What about people with dietary needs?
A:
We will accommodate these people in the same way that a restaurant would.
Q: Would that not be more expensive?
A:
Logically the price would be the same as the price of the movie and meal together; I don't think it would be much more expensive and people might pay for the convenience of haveing a meal and movie severd togeather
.
Q: Do you think people would actually buy that?
A: Yes! I know a lot of people who buy Pizza and a movie, I think even we have done that. We eat the Pizza then watch the movie.
Q: Is it not a bad idea to eat while in front of the TV?
A:
The customer can choose to eat before, after or during the movie it is up to him.
Q: What about grose movies with lots of blood and gore that make you sick when you watch them?
A:
We would not supply that kind of movie except for perhaps stand-alone
for this reason.
Q: Do meals come in diffrent sizes?
A:
yes.
Q: How do I return the movie too you?
A:
I inveriton several ways to do this: firstly since the rental store can not be too far away(or else the food would arrive cold) so one could drop the video off in a "drop off" box outside the store. Alternatively a delivery veical could pick up the movie, in which case he would wring your doorbell and you hand over the movie to them. He would come when the movie is due back.(24-hours for new relses, 168-hours for older movies).
Q: What if I am not there when the movie is due?
A: Then you will have to drive to the store and return the movie the old fashioned way. When you order a movie, you have the choice as to weather you want it picked up or not.
Q: Does it cost me more if I have the guy pick up the movie?
A:
Uh... tiqnincallly yes but we would fraze it as a "discount" if you return the movie yourself.
Q: Can I pick up the food as well?
A: yes!
Q: Are there late fees?
A:
Pick ups will allways have late fees(for you have to pay for the guys time and gasss), in the future late fees for self-returns may be dropped to compete with Blockbuster.
Q: What if I ask a guy to come to my house and am not home at the time?
A: Then you are charged for the guys time, if you return the movie before the store closes that night you will not be charged a late fee.
Q: Will the guy come before the movie is due?
A: Yes he will come half an hour before the movie is due.
Q: What if the guy is late with my movie?
A:
Hmm... I guess when the guy takes your movie he should "check it in" then if he is late, it's his fault.
Q: What if the guy does not arrive at my house on time?
A:
If you can prove this, you will not be charged.
Q: Will the guy be charged?
A:
No but it will go on his work record and make him look bad.
Q: Will the guy dilver things as well as pick them up?
A: Yes, if time allows. Otherwise his route will only be to pick things up and another guy will drop things off.
Q: What if "the guy" is not a guy?
A: Uh........ yes the deliver person could be a women and yes "the guy" is not gender-nurturl but it's just an example!
Q: Can I mix a movie with a meal not assinged to it?
A:
Off course! You can have any meal that's not on special. This is something that must be done, as I like the TV serries
Kung_Fu but am not allways a big fan of Ciness food.
Q: How do you hope to accomplish this?
A: I have no clue am I just "putting this out there".
Q: Do you have to pay royalties to make Kilong food?
A:
Maybe but you would not have to pay royalties to make you own "space age" food and it would be cheaper too for you could reuse the recipe for other sci-phi movies.(though for Star Gate you should eat "ration packs").
Q: What if I don't want a meal?
A: I think we would allow this but we can not ganatee a service less expensive then blockbuster.
Q: How do you make sure the movies don't get food on them?
A:
package them seperitly.
CLOSING THOUGHTS::
I have nothing more to say but that this is a cool idea and maybe someday I can do something with this but for the moment it's just a coold idea. Let me know if anyone reading this has any questions.
